Program description: During this session, providers from the UJA-Federation of NY network will provide a history of the the Consorita for Learning and Service to Special Populations (CLASSP) program discussing why the program was developed and how it has changed over the years.  Current participants and graduates of the CLASSP program will share insight on how the program has impacted them.
The CLASSP program is designed to provide students (both with and without disabilities) with meaningful professional development and work experiences to embark on careers in fields such as education, recreation, social work, and psychology, while helping to build and retain a workforce at agencies that can provide quality programs for youth with disabilities. The program is a combination of interactive classroom and hands-on work experiences.
